Stone monoliths of tribe "Dirían" found in the natural forest reserve. They were placed in an observational position towards the volcanoes. It was a sacred place.

The Owners

are Guisela Sacasa and Johannes Füssel, the latter worked 20 years in Nicaragua, as an international cooperation partner in the environmental field. Currently PhD candidate at the University Gh Kassel (project on climate change - see below). The site was acquired in 1993 and there are no claims by third parties. Since then it has been largely afforested and beautified, and is now one of the most attractive corners of the park (the largest part of the property belongs geographically to the national park).

The Project:

We have already operated an inn and want to bring up a similar project on a larger scale with social and environmental aspects on this highly attractive site in terms of tourism and research on environment and archeology. In this project we would be happy to serve the tourists in the country, particularly adventure tours – motorized, by foot and in particular by bicycle, similar as described on the web site of the hostel. Additionally, manage the reserve. For the business partners in question, then may remain the investment and operation of the actual hotel.
